New color on walls in my appartment

I would like to paint the whole flat which is white in the ceiling and very light grey on the walls. The furnitures are grey and white with some turquise blue decorations (see attached pictures). There is a small corridor with the main entrace in the middle. Should the columns in the living room have different color tone? Look forward to hearing about your advice :) Thanks, Niki
