New colour for hallways

Lister/dører/vinduer : Some letthet, some egghvit and some classic white.
We are painting our kitchen and stur in Kalk. The entre vindfang is in claro and the main door is yellow. There is a hallway between the windfang and the kitchen. We want advice for the right colour for this hallway, the staircase and the upstairs hallway. Both hallways are a bit dark. The colour of the doorframes and doors upstairs is not matching and looks quite bad.

Hi Line, Thank you for getting back to me. I see there were many mistakes in my text :) So to explain again, just in case, the kitchen and Stue will become one room now - open landscape. Those walls will be in Kalk. The kitchen island will be stone with green cabinets (Sigdal's Furu). For the whole of downtairs we want to achieve a calming beige and Kalk type atmosphere. The sofas will also be beige. The vindfang/entre is in Jotun's Claro and the door is yellow. See photos attached including the colour code. The hallway between the entre and the kitchen+living room is what we can't solve now and need advice for. This hallway has a staircase going up to the upstairs hallway. We want to pain both downstairs and upstairs including the long wall (which right now has a rustic colour combination in the photo). We thought both the hallways should be the same colour because both are relatively dark spaces. And there is that tall wall that they share. But happy to take advice on this too. The downstairs hallway is connected to the entre and the kitchen+living room as I mentioned. The upstairs hallway opens into rooms with different colours (my office in sophisticated blue, our bedroom in green, children's room and the guest room in Claro and the TV room in some kind of white and a dark blue accent wall). For stairs and window sills and door frames: we understand Kalk goes well with Classic white so we will do that downstairs. If the hallways are the same colour (which we need to solve with your advice), does that mean it should be a colour that also works well with classic white and we paint all of upstairs details in classic white too? This would mean changing some door colours upstairs which are eggwhite we think. Hello :) Thank you for the pictures and reply :) Your kitchen island from Sigdal in "Furu" are NCS S5005-G50Y. What if you paint the hallway and stairwell as well as the hallway on the 2nd floor in the lighter LADY 8281 Pale Linden, it matches the kitchen fronts and will look just as good with LADY 1442 Claro, LADY 10341 Kalk, LADY 9918 Klassisk Hvit and with LADY 1624 Letthet / LADY 1001 Egghvit on second floors so you don't have to repaint the white colour :)

Hi Line, Thank you!! This is a very interesting idea - we are going to get a sample tomorrow to check! Also - we were wondering, IF pale linden turned out to be too dark, we see they say Chi is in the same family, would that be a good back up? As an alternative - do you think Kalk or another very light beige would work? We want it to feel warm and calm but also brighten up the space. I read that Kalk next to yellow can look pink - this was our concern for downstairs where it will be close to the yellow door and Claro walls. And that it may darken the upstairs hallway. What would be your advice if we wanted to be a bit boring :) Kalk - no go? Another very light beige - possible? Tusen takk, Abida.

Or alternatively - would you recommend using different colours for the downstairs and upstairs hallways?

Hello :) I would not recommend mixing different shades of white as LADY 1453 Bomull, LADY 1624 Letthet, LADY 9918 Klassisk Hvit or LADY 7236 Chi, they are not optimal together.
Then you are right that LADY 10341 Kalk in direct contact with LADY 1442 Claro will lean more pink and LADY 1442 Claro will probably lean more yellow. That's why LADY 8281 Pale Linden will be a nice tone between these to break. I would also like to mention LADY 1520 Cheerful Peach, which brings the sun into the hallway;) When you have LADY 1453 Bomull on the 2nd floor, you can nicely paint walls also in LADY 1453 Bomull or LADY 1442 Claro:)

Hei Line, Thank you so much for your time! We will definitely not mix shades of white. We are willing to repaint the top floor details (it doesn't look good with different colours on doors and their lists anyway) and sadly its the doors that probably need repainting because they are probably Bomull and look almost grey/green next to the lists which are a brighter white - not sure which colour. I had always wanted Claro for the top floor hallway because it worked so well brightening up and warming the north facing rooms but without looking yellow in the rooms or the gang - looks like a delicate white. But given the Kalk situation downstairs, I figured topfloor can't be Claro. I will test this with pale linden downstairs and claro upstairs. I know you probably don't have more time for this but normally - do you think its better to keep the tall walla behind the stairs that is shared between upstairs and downstairs hallway - does it look better if in the same colour or ok to have claro on top and Pale Linden in the bottom half to go with the downstairs hallway? Finally IF you have the time - if we choose Kalk for the downtsiras hallway (there is a slight seperation between the gang and the hallway, a small stub of a wall so maybe it won't ruin both colours (ill test) - then is there another brightening colour that is whit-ish for the top hallway like Claro but one that doesn't clash with Kalk? Hi Abida :) It's great if details are in the same white tone throughout the home. You can keep LADY 1442 Claro upstairs as it will not be in direct contact with LADY 10341 Kalk. It will be a nice transition with LADY 8281 Pale Linden on the lower part with LADY 1442 Claro on the upper part ;)
You gave me a challenge regarding a light beige that will work for both LADY 1442 Claro and LADY 10341 Kalk, possibly LADY 0471 Lys AntikkL will work but it must be tested in your lighting conditions. I wish you a good weekend :)
