Door color between silke colored livingroom and pistachio colored adjoining room

i live in a 1903 apartment with high ceilings and old double doors in the house. the current livingroom has been painted jotun silke and adjoining room pistachio. we love it, but now have trouble choosing the door color. we initially chose light blue color named trigger from butinox, but when we painted the door with trigger, it looks cheap and unbalanced with the room. it feels childish. we still want to have more interesting colors, except green. any suggestion is welcome, the more striking it is the better. The picture i attached is before we painted it trigger. the door frame is alittle strange as it is framed by a wallpaper section. This will be exchanged with a silvery white floral wallpaper, chiswick grove from sanderson. I would also like to know if the frame outside the wallpaper should also be painted the same color as the door? help! Ignore the mess in the livingroom please. we are in the process of renovating :D
