Hello, We would like some advice regarding repainting the indoor gangway (hallway/entrance area) in our home. Currently the gangway has very dark walls (almost black/purple tone) together with black floor tiles. While the finish quality is good, the overall impression feels too cold and heavy. We would like to change the wall colour to create a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere when entering the home. Our plan is to start with the gangway first, and later continue with the living room and kitchen so that the colours will work together as a whole. In the long term we would like the entire home to have a palette that: • feels warm and soft rather than cold grey • matches our existing furniture (light wood, natural tones, green sofa, black details) • reflects a modern Nordic + Japanese inspired style • still feels elegant and shows the quality of the house We are especially interested in colours that can: • transition well from the darker entrance into lighter living spaces • work together with black floor tiles and black wardrobe fronts • create a calm and cohesive flow when we later repaint the living room and kitchen Could you recommend suitable Jotun colours for: 1. The gangway (transition colour from dark entrance to lighter living areas) 2. Future colours that would match for the living room and kitchen Thank you very much for your advice. Please see that the pictures with nice and clean effect is from seller’s advertisement. And for our current sofa is the one with green(main one) and light grey( secondary sofa, could be considered to remove) and a table with natural eik wood colour from Bolia with black legs
Hello! :) I recommend testing LADY 1376 Frostrøyk or LADY 1832 Skandinavisk Lys, as these will provide a warm and bright atmosphere in the hallway. For the other rooms in your home, you may consider LADY 20120 Organic Red, LADY 12125 Impression, and LADY 1303 Observe, which I believe will complement your flooring well. :)
Colors on the screen may differ from the actual color, so we always recommend that you consider physical color slats or sample coats. Remember that your lighting conditions, floor and furniture can affect the experience of the color.
